Hello, this is Principal Tom Seckler calling to remind you that Ident-A-Kid is Friday, November 13th.  If you have not yet returned the application form to your child's teacher, it is not too late to participate in this very important child safety program.  Simply complete your form and return it with your child.  If you never received a form or have misplaced it, extra forms are available in the school office or by going to:  www.identakid.com/onlineapp.

As most of you are aware, Durham Public Schools has made changes to its Volunteer Policy.  In the new tierd model of volunteering, the volunteer position determines the level of screening and the type of information requested.  All activities that involved adults working with or around students (such as a classroom assistant, grade parent or field trip chaperone) require a  Volunteer Registration Form to be filled out and turned in to either the school office or Durham Public Schools Community Ed. Department.  Many of you received this form at Open House back in August.  If you  need another one, they are available in our school office.  Please do not wait until the day before an event to fill out a Volunteer Registration Form as they do take some time to process before clearance is approved.  If you know you are going to be involved in your child's classroom or field trip activities this year, now is the time to complete and turn in a registration form.

And finally, our School Spirit Committee has declared this coming Friday as Tie Dye Day.  We hope to see as many of our staff and students in their tie dyed shirts as possible on Friday.  Thank you for listening and have a great week.
